fees.fun’s backend is deployed across multiple regions with multiple shards to ensure the fastest possible execution. Your trades and launches go through our infrastructure instead of the platform’s, which means they often execute faster than they would natively — on top of costing less. Choosing the server closest to you means even faster transaction speeds and lower latency.

How to change your server

Open the extension popup

Click the fees.fun icon in your Chrome toolbar.

Find the server selector

You’ll see your current server region displayed in the popup, usually with a ping indicator showing your connection quality.

Select your region

Choose the region closest to you. The change takes effect immediately — no need to refresh any pages.

Ping indicator

The extension popup shows a real-time ping indicator so you can see your connection quality:
  • Green — Great connection, low latency
  • Yellow — Decent connection, moderate latency
  • Red — Poor connection, consider switching regions
If you’re not sure which region is best, try each one and watch the ping indicator. The lowest ping number = the fastest server for you.

Does server region affect transaction speed?

Yes — significantly. fees.fun’s backend is built with multiple shards per region to handle high load and ensure the quickest possible execution times. A closer server means:
  • Faster trade execution — less time between you clicking “Deploy” and the transaction landing on-chain
  • Lower latency on real-time updates — tweet feeds, balance updates, and connection status respond faster
  • More reliable connections — less chance of disconnects during trades
  • Better than native speed — because our multi-shard infrastructure is optimized for speed, most platforms execute faster through fees.fun than they do natively
All regions connect to the same Solana network, so your transactions end up in the same place regardless of region. The difference is how quickly they get submitted.
